KINKELL BYRE WEDDING // HANNAH + ADAM
When one of my best friends from school (and favourite orchestra deskie!), asked me to photograph her Autumn wedding, it was a definite yes. I'd always wanted to shoot a wedding at KINKELL BYRE, and I knew that this one was going to be pretty special. When Hannah then asked me to be a bridesmaid, it was an even bigger yes, and although it meant finding another photographer, I was delighted to document the morning of the wedding before we all headed to Kinkell in the cutest of VW campervans.
The girls from SILVER LILLY Hair and Make Up were a dream team to work with, and let's just take a minute to fully appreciate Hannah's dress by E&W COUTURE. It had stars. Sequin stars. Need I say more?
Hannah + Adam's wedding extravaganza was a feast for the eyes, ears and mouth! Kinkell Byre, a blank canvas barn venue in St Andrews, Fife, was transformed by the fabulous LITTLE WHITE COW, with foliage and flowers by BLUE POPPY FLORIST. The couple included all their favourite things, from the Disneyworld inspired table plan, to their very own Twin Peaks red room.
The ceremony itself, conducted by GILLIAN STEWART, included beautiful music by classical guitarist MATTHEW MCALLISTER, plus a sing-along to the Muppets' 'I've Got Everything That I Need'. During the drinks reception we were treated to a full festival set, including Adam's own band 'Dirty Alice', from their incredible 'End of the Road' indoor stage, designed and built by Hannah's talented sister.
After a feast, including chicken waffle burgers, mac n' cheese, doughnuts and marshmallows we danced the night away with a good old fashioned ceilidh, followed by a glow stick disco, glitter bar and ODDBOX PHOTO BOOTH.
It was definitely a wedding I could relive again and again!
