ALEXANDER HOUSE WEDDING // HELGA & ANDREW

Last year I had the opportunity to capture the beautifully intimate wedding of the lovely Helga and Andrew at Alexander House, just outside Auchterarder. The setting was simply breathtaking, with the Perthshire hills and stunning scenery all around.

A first for me, was not starting the day with the usual bridal prep, but instead I met Helga and Andrew at St Fillans, as the soon-to-be newlyweds decided to go for a pre-wedding dip in Loch Earn. The perfect start to a perfect day!

After a quick shower to warm up back at Alexander House, Helga and Andrew shared a private moment and exchanged vows from either side of a doorway so as not to see each other before the ceremony. A truly wonderful moment to witness. 

The rain may have scuppered their plans for an outdoor ceremony, but the cosy lounge with the big bay window overlooking the stunning hills provided the perfect and, more importantly, dry backdrop. Thankfully the rain settled down a little later so we headed outside to capture a few portraits of the newlyweds in amongst the woodland and scenic hills. It's easy to see why Alexander House is one of my favourite venues!
